To safely and effectively provide instruction on the inspection and proper use of wood saws.

III. Process

A. Potential Hazards
- Cuts and Abrasions Hazards

B. PPE

C. Inspection
- Inspect handle is in good repair
- Inspect saw for missing teeth, damage or bends and sharpness.
D. Use
- Create a starting cut to achieve a nice kerf.
- Angle saw blade correctly, keeping your elbows closer to your body while sawing. Hold the grip handle well so that your forefinger will extend along the handle side, avoid holding too tightly on the handle.
- Following the kerf, provide a few sort forward strokes to deepen the cut.
- Continue cutting with long strokes until cut is finished.
E. Maintenance
- Lubricate the blade after each use.
