I. Purpose & Scope

To safely and effectively provide instruction on the inspection and proper use of vise grip pliers.

C. Inspection

1. Ensure all moving parts work
2. Inspect for dents, rust and damaged teeth.

D. Use

1. Open the mouth of the mount of vis grip plier by pulling its handles.
2. Set the plier’s mouth properly by unscrewing the bolt at the bottom of the plier. To open the mouth wider move the screw counterclockwise. To narrow the mouth move the screw clockwise.
3. Now place the vise grip plier’s mouth on the object.
4. Squeeze the handlebars until the pliers lock.
5. To unlock the pliers push the lock plate down until it is flush in between the handle.
