Lockout (Shut-Down Procedure)

  1. Stand machine on level ground.
  2. Ensure motor is switched off.
  3. Remove main battery switch for all maintenance work.
  4. Relieve hydraulic pressures before working on hydraulic lines.
  5. Disconnect the battery and cover it with insulation material.
  6. Attach articulation lock (transport lock) for any work performed in the area of the articulated joint.

Chip Spreader Detachment

  1. Park the machine on a level and solid base and shut down the engine.
  2. Turn the ball valve for the chip spreader parallel to the line.
  3. Disconnect the chip spreader hydraulically and electrically from the machine.
  4. Hook the chip spreader to the fastening points
  5. Remove the cotter pin and pull out the bolt.
  6. Lift the chip spreader out of the fastening points on the machine and place it on level and firm ground.

Start Up Procedure

  1. Remove articulation lock (transport lock) if work was performed in the area of the articulated joint.
  2. Remove insulation material and connect the battery.
  3. Switch on motor and test repairs.

Chip Spreader Attachment

  1. Clear any tools and materials from machine.
  2. Alert that machine is being removed from lockout tagout.
  3. Lift the chip spreader by the lifting points and hook it carefully into the fixing points on the machine.
  4. Insert the bolt and secure it with the cotter pin.
  5. Connect the chip spreader hydraulically and electrically with the machine.
