I. Purpose & Scope

To safely and effectively provide instruction on the inspection and proper use of roll up signs and stands.

II. Definitions

Standard PPE – High Viz Garment, Hard Hat, Z-87.1 Safety Glasses, Gloves, Pants, Work Boots

III. Process

NOTE: Work instruction does not supplement the manual. For specific instructions for the exact model please refer to the owner’s manual.

C. Inspection

1. Inspect all parts for damage, cracks or malfunction. Replace as necessary. 

D. Use

Leg Stand Set Up

1. Extend telescoping legs until locked in place. 
2. Release leg lock mechanism and lower legs to ground. 
3. Left up on center upright until legs lock in place. 
4. Insert panel into upright holder until spring button snaps in place. 

Leg Stand Take Down

1. Depress spring button and remove panel. 
2. Release leg lock mechanism and raise legs. 
3. Depress spring buttons and telescope legs. 

Sign Set up

1. Unroll sign and unfold rib to extend into cross or X shape. 
2. Insert each leg of the rib into each corner of the back of the diamond sign. 
3. Place bracket onto stand. 
4. Attach 3 flags to top of sign. 

E. Maintenance

1. Clean free of dirt and debris.
