I. Purpose & Scope

To safely and effectively provide instruction on the inspection and proper use of ground rod pullers.

Standard PPE– High Viz Garment, Hard Hat, Z-87.1 Safety Glasses, Gloves, Pants, Work Boots

III. Process

C. Inspection

1. Inspect for damage, bends, rust or binding of parts.

D. Use

1. Lift handle to up position so that the jaws are fully open.
2. Place unit so that jaws are on either side of the lip of the U picket.
3. Place foot on base.
4. Push down on hand, clamping on lip of U picket and lifting it out of the ground.
5. Repeat motion as necessary until post is free.
