Lockout (Shut-Down Procedure)

Working Under Drilling Unit

1. Notify all affected personnel.
2. Park machine on a hard level surface.
3. Remove yellow cylinder lock from storage at rear of pipe box and place over extended cylinder rod with curved ends toward stabilizer shoe.
4. Raise stabilizer to lower unit until load is supported by cylinder. Place tagout device as close to cylinder lock as possible.

Opening Front Hood

1. Notify all affected personnel.
2. Unlock hood at outside latches.
3. Press key lock buttons to release latches and tip hood toward you.
4. Release inside latch.
5. Lift hood to remove. Place tagout device as close to hood latches as possible.

Start-Up Procedure

Working Under Drilling Unit

1. Notify all affected personnel that equipment is operational and removal of lock out will occur.
2. Remove all tools, equipment and debris from the area.
3. Raise stabilizer until load is unsupported by cylinder.
4. Remove yellow cylinder lock and place back in storage and remove tagout device.

Closing Front Hood

1. Notify all affected personnel that equipment is operational and removal of lock out will occur.
2. Remove all tools, equipment and debris from the area.
3. Align pins with designated holes.
4. Secure inside latch
5. Secure latches. Remove tagout device and test equipment.
