To safely and effectively provide instruction on the inspection and proper use of jack hammers.

A. Potential Hazards

C. Inspection
- Inspect for dull or damaged bits
- Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the tool operation.
- Check safety bit lock is secure.
- Ensure air connection is clean and secure.
D. Use
- To switch the tool “on”, squeeze and hold the paddle lever. Allow tool to warm up before use.
- To switch the tool “off”, release pressure on the paddle lever. The switch is spring loaded and will return automatically.
- When placing tool down, ensure the air hose side is facing up. Never place tool down on the air hose.
E. Maintenance
- Clean tool with compressed dry air after each use.
