To safely and effectively provide instruction on the inspection and proper use of phase sequence indicators.

III. Process
NOTE: Work instruction does not supplement the manual. For specific instructions for the exact model please refer to the owner’s manual.

C. Inspection
- Examine the test leads for damaged insulation or exposed metal. Do not use test leads if they are damaged.
- Check test lead continuity.
- Check for any damage.
D. Use
Determine the Rotary Field Direction
- Connect the test probes to the end of the test leads.
- Connect the test probes to the three main phases.
- Either clockwise or counter-clockwise rotary indicator illuminates showing the type of rotary field direction present.
Replacing Fuses
- Check the fuse using a simple continuity test.
- Hold the probe in front of the finger guard and unscrew the tip in a counter-clockwise direction.
- Remove the defective fuse from the fuse holder.
- Insert a new fuse in the fuse holder and reassemble the probe.
E. Maintenance
- Periodically wipe the case with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Clean only with soap and water and remove any residue afterwards.
