Lockout (Shut-Down Procedure)
- Stand machine on level ground.
- Ensure motor is switched off.
- Remove main battery switch for all maintenance work.
- Relieve hydraulic pressures before working on hydraulic lines.
- Disconnect the battery and cover it with insulation material.
- Attach articulation lock (transport lock) for any work performed in the area of the articulated joint.
Chip Spreader Detachment
- Park the machine on a level and solid base and shut down the engine.
- Turn the ball valve for the chip spreader parallel to the line.
- Disconnect the chip spreader hydraulically and electrically from the machine.
- Hook the chip spreader to the fastening points
- Remove the cotter pin and pull out the bolt.
- Lift the chip spreader out of the fastening points on the machine and place it on level and firm ground.
Start Up Procedure
- Remove articulation lock (transport lock) if work was performed in the area of the articulated joint.
- Remove insulation material and connect the battery.
- Switch on motor and test repairs.
Chip Spreader Attachment
- Clear any tools and materials from machine.
- Alert that machine is being removed from lockout tagout.
- Lift the chip spreader by the lifting points and hook it carefully into the fixing points on the machine.
- Insert the bolt and secure it with the cotter pin.
- Connect the chip spreader hydraulically and electrically with the machine.
